Classes

Birch Mountain Pottery offers a variety of classes and workshops for adults, children and special interest groups.

Adult Pottery Classes: Discover the joy of creating with clay! Evening classes are offered in 8 week sessions which meet for 2 1/2 hours each week. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes are available and expose students to a wide range of handbuilding, wheelthrowing extruder and decorating methods and techniques.

New sessions start in September, January, April and June. Call or email for current schedule and registration form.

Susan Gerr tutors a pupil at one of her student workshops Children's Pottery Classes:

  • Birthday Party: 1 1/2 - 2 hour pottery class for children ages 7 and up. Minimum 8 children, maximum 12.
  • Girl Scout/Boy Scout/Homeschooler: One time workshops or ongoing classes tailored to meet individual requirements and goals of the group.

Special Interest: Workshop opportunities are available and may be tailored to your group's specific needs.

MAY 2nd, 2009 - 24th Annual MUG Day at Birch Mountain Pottery
Saturday, 10-4 pm. Live music 11-1. Free refreshments and admission.
Come visit the shop during our spring Open Studio and pick from hundreds of handcrafted mugs of all sizes and shapes. Find your perfect mug! Also teapots, planters, vases, trays, casseroles, and much more. Great Mother's Day gifts, too.
